Simple. Be aware of your driving habits, and use the score card to make adjustments in your behavior. Safe, responsible, efficient driving is the goal.
If your idle time is high, pay attention to how long you warm your vehicle or if you leave your engine running while stopped at a jobsite. If the engine is not required for power, turn it off. Even the shortest amount of time idling can add up quickly.
Note: Every five minutes of idle time averages 1 cup of fuel used. (This is in a standard sized vehicle - larger engines will use far more fuel)
If your rapid acceleration or hard breaking are high, try not to follow so closely to the vehicle in front of you and slow down a bit.
Speeding events high? Well...
Use your common sense. Use your score card as a learning tool. You will save money, time, and possibly a life.
